WISIONS Team Will Participate in "Travelling Conferences" in South East Asia

The WISIONS team as representative of Wuppertal Institute will participate in a series of “Travelling Conferences” hosted by Reiner Lemoire Institute in Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia from 27 November – 5 December 2017.

The Travelling Conferences belong to a series of events funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, in which German experts and early-career researchers in other countries present current research topics. These events are meant to provide platforms for the development of international cooperation.

The Reiner Lemoire Institute will host one of the Travelling Conferences on the use of renewable energy for sustainable energy provision on Southeast Asian islands. Together with research and professional partners, the project team will travel to Bangkok, Singapore, and Jakarta from 27 November – 5 December 2017 in order to delve into and discuss the need for research and collaborative potential with local research institutions in this area. They have chosen specific institutions in those three countries, which are already researching this issue in order to identify overlapping interests and points of contact within the dialog. In the long term, they hope to initiate and develop partnerships for joint project development.

The WISIONS team as representative of Wuppertal Institute will participate in these Travelling Conferences and introduce the Wuppertal Institute and its fields of research during university workshops in Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
